Our staff at Anne Roberts Young Elementary School continues to collaborate and prepare for September 2020. These online sessions have been rich in discussion and we look forward to beginning a new chapter at ARY. We wanted to share some of the key words and ideas that have been discussed in these conversations with you.

Thank you for your responses last week in our ARY survey to help determine our team name and school colours. I am excited to announce that the results are in and we are the Anne Roberts Young Rockies and our school colours are blue,

The School District has posted the catchment statements for students in a new home school catchment at https://www.prn.bc.ca/?p=4457

Letters will be going home in the next week or two welcoming students to our school for next September!

At recent public meetings parents and community members expressed concerns about students safely crossing the roundabout to walk to the school.

Our schools actively teach students about safely crossing roads to get to school and the roundabout is a new feature to discuss with students who will be attending Anne Roberts Young Elementary.

With an expected opening date of September 2020 for Anne Roberts Young Elementary School (Grades K-6), some catchment boundaries will be changing later this year. These changes will potentially affect families with children currently attending Bert Ambrose,

The Government of BC has announced funding for future daycare spaces at Anne Roberts Young Elementary School! School District 60 will receive $1 Million dollars to support 61 future spaces. SD60 will partner with Northern Health and the daycare facility included in the school will be operated by the YMCA of Northern British Columbia.

Pre-cast walls are going up at Anne Roberts Young Elementary School. Steel coming soon and it will start going up later this month.
